We are now looking for a creative and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team and help bring smiles to the faces of those in our care.
Summary:
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a variety of engaging, inclusive, and person-centred activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being for our residents. You will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life within our home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a diverse and stimulating activities programme
- Encourage resident participation in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities
- Liaise with families, volunteers, and community groups to support activity sessions
- Organise events, celebrations, themed days, and outings
- Tailor activities to suit individual care plans and personal interests
- Maintain records of activities, risk assessments, and feedback
- Promote inclusion and a positive atmosphere throughout the home
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with older adults or in a care home setting (preferred)
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills
- Use your musical talents (e.g., piano, guitar, singing) to entertain and connect with residents. (desirable but not essential)
- Friendly, approachable, and patient nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organisational and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends for special events
- A valid UK driving licence
