We are a compassionate organisation committed to providing exceptional residential childcare for young people up to 18 who display emotional difficulties and challenging behaviour. We are seeking dedicated people to join our team and work alongside our young people to be a consistent and positive figure in their lives.
We understand the nature of the role is challenging as you will be working directly with vulnerable and traumatised young people. You will need a lot of energy, patience, nurture, resilience and empathy. Watermead Care Ltd seek to employ care team members who understand and can work with a trauma-informed approach at all times. Each new team member will receive training in our therapeutic approach and will be supported by the Management Team.
We have an extensive in house training programme to support our employees to be resourced practitioners and equip them with the skills necessary to meet the complex needs of the children placed within our homes.
21 hours above statutory holiday.
Hourly rate paid for sleeping hours

Our shifts operate on a rolling rota and includes weekends and bank holidays (with bank holiday bonuses).
The chosen candidates must demonstrate that they have the following attributes:

- Have a genuine interest in working with children and young people
- Be resilient and dedicated to achieving excellent outcomes
- Good IT skills
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Essential : 21 years or over with a Full UK MANUAL driving license, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrate an ability to engage effectively with children and young people. The successful candidate must be computer literate and willing to partake in mandatory training as well as work towards necessary qualifications
Desirable :
- Previous experience working in Residential Children's home
- Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
