Bawso is the lead organisation in Wales providing practical and emotional support to black minority ethnic (BME) and migrant victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, human trafficking, Female Genital Mutilation and forced marriage.
We are seeking to appoint for the following position:
Support worker (NRPF Support for Migrants )
Location: Cardiff
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Salary: £ 26,300 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term up to 31st March 2027 subject to funding
The support worker will be expected to participate in all aspects of Bawso’s work with particular responsibility for the welfare of women and their children who are unable or choose not to come to Refuge.
The post holder will provide BME women and children focused support which will include a needs and risk assessment, and will put in place a safety and support plan to help reduce risk, increase safety, and support to cope and recover from domestic abuse.
This role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
