Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport packages from the local hub to customer locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload deliveries, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring packages are handled with care
- Communicate clearly with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery routes and address any issues promptly
- Verify delivery details and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Provide excellent customer service by being professional, friendly, and responsive during each interaction
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, with a strong focus on safety and reliability
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred if applicable
- Experience in commercial driving and familiarity with local traffic laws
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with handling packages and heavy lifting tasks
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently as part of daily duties
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and routine inspections is a plus
