We are currently looking for a talented and enthusiastic Violin Teacher to join our growing music tuition team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate musician and educator seeking flexible, self-employed work with competitive hourly rates.
About the Role
As a Violin Teacher, you will provide engaging and inspiring violin lessons to students of varying ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced players. Lessons may be delivered on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, depending on student needs.
You may also work with children, young people, and vulnerable adults, so a professional, patient, and safeguarding-focused approach is essential at all times.
This flexible role is ideal for freelance musicians, performers, music graduates, or experienced tutors looking to build or expand their teaching schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality violin lessons tailored to individual students
- Teach technique, posture, music reading, performance skills, and musicianship
- Support students in achieving personal goals, exams, auditions, or performances
- Create a safe, positive, and encouraging learning environment
- Work professionally and appropriately with children and vulnerable adults
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and carers where required
- Follow safeguarding and professional conduct expectations at all times
Requirements
- Strong violin performance skills and musical knowledge
- Previous teaching experience preferred but not essential
- Ability to teach a range of ages and abilities
- Comfortable working with children and vulnerable adults
- Patient, reliable, and professional attitude
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS check preferred (or willingness to obtain one)
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities is desirable
