Overview
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Primary Tutor to join our team. This role involves delivering engaging, effective tutoring sessions to primary school students, supporting their learning in core subjects such as mathematics, English, and sciences. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping children succeed and possess strong communication skills to foster a positive learning environment.
Duties
- Deliver one-to-one tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s learning style and needs
- Prepare lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual goals
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Support students with exam preparation for SATs, entrance exams, or other assessments
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement
- Maintain a professional and encouraging attitude to motivate students and build confidence
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment during all sessions
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children in primary or secondary education
- Knowledge of special education needs and strategies for supporting diverse learners is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain concepts and engage students effectively
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
- Enthusiasm for helping children achieve their academic potential and develop confidence in their abilities

Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.0 – 10.0 per week
