Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring consistency and excellence in food presentation. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Assist in supervising junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Monitor food safety standards and adhere to health regulations at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Manage inventory levels, report shortages, and assist with stock rotation
- Contribute to menu development by sharing ideas for new dishes or improvements
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Good communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and front-of-house staff
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional customer service
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous but not essential
