ROLE OVERVIEW
As Transport Team Leader, you will work alongside the team as a hands-on leader, supporting day-to-day transport operations while providing clear direction, guidance and support to colleagues.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Yard & Transport Management
- Optimising Site Flow: Orchestrate a smooth, safe, and efficient layout for all vehicle movements to maximise daily site efficiency.
- Empowering Drivers: Build strong, positive relationships with the both regular and visiting drivers to ensure quick, stress-free turnaround times.
- Championing Safety Culture: Lead by example to maintain a bright, organised, and hazard-free yard environment, ensuring team safety and yard cleanliness are sustained.
- Proactive Resource Planning: Coordinate yard spacing and vehicle schedules to align transport operations with inbound and outbound movements
Office & Administrative Control
- Fostering Operational Clarity: Managing shift paperwork and building a two-way communication stream with customer care to ensure a seamless, stress-free workflow between departments.
- Empowering with Data: Championing a can-do mindset in regards to daily tasks and project work, while working alongside your team to utilise daily insights and knowledge to identify smooth ways of working.
- Resource Optimisation: Planning break schedules thoughtfully to ensure the team is compliant with company rules and legislation, whilst always being fully supported and prepared for the day ahead.
- Streamlining Communication: Maintaining an organised, welcoming office environment that serves as an efficient hub for team queries and interdepartmental communications.

- Commitment to Integrity: A clear understanding of inbound operations and quality verification processes.
- Hands-on Capability: A valid Forklift License to confidently support the team on the floor when needed
- Admin – Experience in using Microsoft Office applications
