Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations
- Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency in quality and portion control
- Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations
- Lead team management efforts, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and minimise waste
- Maintain organised workstations and ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning correctly
- Assist in menu planning and development to reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience in a culinary context, demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Experience managing teams, coordinating tasks, and ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Familiarity with food production processes, serving practices, and customer satisfaction strategies
