With support from this role, we are embarking upon a new programme of research that will centre the voices of babies, children and families to both inform our work and also to develop it. The team in Scotland play a vital role in preventing child abuse by supporting babies ,young children and their families from the earliest point a need is identified. The Research and Evidence team in Scotland helps the wider team learn from their approach and seeks to understand the difference it is making to babies, children and families.
What will I be doing as a Junior Research and Evaluation Officer?
In this role you will:

support the Research and Evaluation Officer with planning and delivering a range of research and evaluation activities

design and carry out all projects in line with NSPCC Research and Evidence team's research principles

support the Scotland National Hub team share learning across the organisation and with wider stakeholders.
This is a full-time position, with the option of working from home 2-3 days a week. Your main base is our Scotland Hub in Glasgow where you will work alongside a supportive Local Services Team, as well as wider NSPCC national service teams in Scotland. Some travel to other NSPCC locations will be required.
What skills do I need to be a Junior Research and Evaluation Officer?
You will have experience in social/evaluation research and evaluation projects in different settings and contexts. You will have:

an understanding of qualitative and quantitative methods and analysis,
-
especially participatory methods with children,
-
strong interpersonal and communication skills,
-
a commitment to working in an inclusive, accessible and trauma sensitive way.
