You will be leading a team at the soon to be reopened Unicorn Pub in Cublington, an exciting new pub opening from the team behind the Five Elms pub in Weedon.
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Pub Assistant Manager to lead our vibrant team and ensure an exceptional experience for our patrons. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and uphold high standards of service, food safety, and cleanliness. Your leadership will be vital in creating a lively, welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and eager to return. Responsibilities
- Deputise in the absence of the Pub Manager coordinating the daily pub operation
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee training to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all areas of the pub
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality control and timely delivery of dishes and beverages
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster a positive environment for guests
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety policies at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising or managing teams within hospitality settings such as restaurants or bars
- Strong background in bartending, and serving with a focus on quality and safety
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in hospitality roles such as restaurant or hotel service is highly desirable
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Barista experience or culinary expertise is a plus for creating innovative drink or menu offerings
