Cooking for elderly people in a residential care home
Hepworth House is a small & friendly residential care home for older people in Bedford. We are looking for an experienced cook, to work within our home 8am to 4pm every Saturday and Sunday, You will be responsible for cooking a main meal and dessert at lunchtime and and a lighter supper for 20 residents
Your mains responsibilities will be:
· To prepare and cook a well-balanced, nutritious, meals from scratch based on residents preferences and dietary requirements
· Maintain a clean and environment, in accordance with the relevant legislation and guidelines.i.e. food safety standards
· To complete daily records and checklists in regards to kitchen managements and hygiene standards.
· To carry out scheduled cleaning programs
· To adhere to the policies of 313 Healthcare Ltd
What experience do you need?
Previous experience of cooking/catering for large numbers experience is essential.
A cooking qualification and Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred, and there will be opportunities for further training and development.
Schedule: 8am-4pm every weekend
