About the Role
We’re looking for a qualified Dispensing Optician to join a well-established, patient-focused optical practice in Croydon.
Working in a modern boutique-style environment, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care, supporting patients through their eyewear journey, and helping create a welcoming and professional experience from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service and patient care
- Support patients with frame and lens selection
- Take accurate measurements and complete spectacle dispensing
- Carry out fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs
- Support smooth handovers from the Optometrist to dispensing
- Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records
- Assist with spectacle orders and liaise with suppliers when needed
- Support and guide Dispensing Assistants and Optical Assistants
- Resolve patient queries professionally and efficiently
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming practice environment
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Dispensing Optician (Level 6 Diploma in Ophthalmic Dispensing)
- Previous spectacle dispensing experience essential
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong customer service and patient-focused approach
- Comfortable using digital systems and technology
- Positive, professional, and adaptable attitude
