Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plasterer/Renderer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying plaster and render to interior and exterior surfaces, transforming buildings with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will help create durable, aesthetically pleasing finishes on a variety of structures, contributing to the overall quality and safety of our projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying bonding agents to ensure optimal adhesion of plaster and render.
- Mix plaster or render materials accurately according to project specifications.
- Apply plaster or render using hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats, ensuring smooth and even finishes.
- Use power tools like mixers and pneumatic tools to facilitate efficient application processes.
- Collaborate with bricklayers, masons, carpenters, roofers, and other trades to coordinate work sequences effectively.
- Repair or patch existing surfaces by removing damaged material and reapplying plaster or render as needed.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously when operating equipment such as welding tools or working at heights on scaffolding.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plastering and rendering techniques with a strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing.
- Proficiency in using hand tools including trowels, floats, and spatulas; familiarity with power tools for mixing and application.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work at heights in various weather conditions.
- Relevant certifications or training in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory.
