Job Purpose
As a Senior Care Assistant at Three Sisters Community care you will play a vital role in supporting service users to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. You will provide high-quality personal care, companionship, and support with daily living tasks while supervising and mentoring junior care staff. You will act as a key link between the care team, management, service users, and their families, ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Care Delivery
- Provide personal care and support in line with individual care plans (e.g., washing, dressing, toileting, mobility support, meal preparation, medication administration).
- Promote independence, dignity, and choice for service users at all times.
- Support with practical tasks such as shopping, household duties, and attending appointments.
- Recognize, respond to, and escalate changes in service users’ health or wellbeing.
Leadership & Supervision
- Mentor, guide, and support Care Assistants in their daily duties.
- Carry out spot checks, shadow shifts, and on-the-job training for new and existing staff.
- Support with care planning, risk assessments, and updates to documentation.
- Promote a positive and professional culture within the care team.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of care records and reports.
- Administer and record medication in line with company policy and regulations.
- Work in compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding protocols, and health & safety requirements.
- Assist management with audits, quality checks, and feedback from service users and families.
- Meet senior expectations set out by Three Sisters Community Care.
- On call responsibility.
Skills & Experience Required
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
- Previous experience in domiciliary care with proven leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of person-centred care practices and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional under pressure.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

We will be interviewing w/c 10th August with the view for successful applicants to complete induction in August. All applicants must complete an Induction before being able to commence employment.
