Maintenance Technician

As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance procedures and help troubleshoot and quickly repair any mechanical or electrical problems with the manufacturing processes and supporting equipment and systems.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Have the ability to work as part of a team to solve problems, contributing your knowledge and valuing the knowledge of others

Good written and verbal communicator, able to demonstrate an eye for detail

Competence in basic IT skills such as email, web applications, or other IT systems

Confidence working with electronic maintenance management systems (eg SAP PM)

Commitment to ongoing training and development

Commitment to maintaining high safety, health, environmental and quality standards

Commitment to acting with personal, professional, and behavioural integrity

Able to demonstrate initiative and a willingness to ask questions

A recognised electrical or mechanical qualification at Level 3 or above, with experience working within a relevant industry sector

Experience performing hands-on maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, including pumps, valves, motors, and instrumentation

Competent in the use of hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and calibration equipment

Understanding of permit-to-work systems, equipment isolation, and lockout/tagout procedures

Ability to accurately complete maintenance records, job sheets, and compliance documentation
- Basic understanding of chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing processes including regulatory requirements (desirable but not essential)

Knowledge of PLC or DCS systems for faultfinding (desirable but not essential)

Understand Root Cause Analysis or other tools to improve maintenance reliability (desirable but not essential)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Day-to-day tasks can vary greatly based priorities and requires working closely with the maintenance, operations, quality, and engineering teams.

- Support our continued success and progress towards business and sustainability goals

The role will also involve interaction with specialised external contractors with the overall aim to allow production to operate safely and efficiently.
- The role is days based Monday to Friday with an on call rota out of hours
