Job description: Commercial Cleaning Contract Manager
Must have experience managing large numbers of people in the Cleaning/Catering/Hospitality or Retail sectors
Location: Home working with on-site customer meetings in London
Package: £40k plus Bonus
We’re looking for an experienced people manager to join our London Operations team as a Contract Manager.
First and foremost, we’re looking for people with the right attitude – you don’t need to have a background in the commercial cleaning industry, but you do need to be a good operator with the ability to communicate and lead a large team successfully. This role will be partially home-based with travel in and around the London area.

Key Objectives
- Report to the London Operations Manager
- Ensures all contract hours and services provided are in line with contract budget & specifications.
- Maintain regular customer contact, performing regular site audits with customers in line with the agreed visit matrix.
- Recruitment /performance management /coaching of site supervisors, cleaners and mobile cleaners.
- Maximize upsell to clients to grow your client portfolio.
- To achieve or exceed your personal KPI including those specified within your bonus objectives.
- Accurate completion of payroll.
- Promote The Clean Space cultures and behaviours
- Mobilisation of new contracts and adherence to TUPE legislation. Set SLA with new client.
- Integration of acquisition contracts.
- Ensure that health and safety standards are always maintained; safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
- To delegate work appropriately and effectively and avoid undertaking duties which are the responsibility of your subordinates.
- Ensure timely ordering of materials and equipment within the allocated budget
- To undertake any other reasonable tasks as required by the Operations Manager
Skills & Knowledge
Experience:
- Planning the diary of self and others
- Client or stakeholder relationship management
- Presenting to groups
- Managing operational teams
- Managing staff to agreed SLAs and specifications
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office tools
- Health and Safety Law (COSHH)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a large and varied workload with appropriate priority
- Knowledge of HR procedures and employment law
- Ability and confidence to both develop team members and performance management of team members
