About the role
As a Night Care Assistant, you'll play a vital part in life at Woodlands Park, providing hands-on support and a reassuring presence through the night. Each shift you'll help residents to rest comfortably and safely, responding to their needs with patience and care, and making a real difference to how settled and secure they feel.
We have both full and part-time night roles available.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting residents with personal care and night-time needs, always promoting dignity, choice and independence
- Helping residents settle comfortably and carrying out regular checks to keep them safe and secure overnight
- Responding calmly and attentively to residents who are awake, unsettled or in need of support
- Contributing to the delivery of individual, person-centred care plans
- Communicating warmly and professionally with residents, your colleagues and the day team at handover
- Helping to maintain a calm, safe and restful environment throughout the night
- Working in line with the home's policies, procedures and care philosophy
What we're looking for
- A genuine passion for making a difference in people's lives
- A warm, patient and empathetic nature
- Good communication skills and a reliable, professional approach
- The ability to work well on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant is desirable, but not essential, as we will provide full training and support you in gaining a Diploma in Health and Social Care
