At Cerealto, we are dedicated to transforming cereals into innovative, accessible foods that meet the evolving needs of consumers worldwide.
Our values — Quality, Agility, Frugality and Respect — are at the heart of everything we do. We are passionate about improving the way we work, developing our people and delivering outstanding results for our customers.
We are now looking for a Manufacturing Continuous Improvement (CI) & Systems Support Specialist to join our Operations team and play a pivotal role in helping us drive manufacturing performance and operational excellence.
The role
This is a varied and hands-on role combining continuous improvement, manufacturing systems, data analysis and operational support.
You will be responsible for ensuring that accurate and timely manufacturing data is captured, analysed and converted into meaningful KPIs. Your work will help the Operations team understand performance, identify deviations, control costs and make informed decisions.
A key part of the role is supporting the monthly performance review process, providing the data and insight required by Department Heads and Directors to assess operational performance and drive improvement.
You will work closely with Production Managers, Team Leaders and other colleagues across the manufacturing operation, becoming a key point of support for production systems, reporting and performance information.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate production and direct labour reporting, including shift reports, SAP notifications and labour/headcount balances.
- Support production planning and performance by monitoring production stops, trials, delivery performance and labour requirements.
- Build, monitor and report key production KPIs, including OEE and other operational performance measures.
- Use SAP to monitor KPI inputs, identify deviations and support corrective actions.
- Monitor production costs and resource utilisation, including production POs, indirect cost deviations and labour performance.
- Support the Production Manager with the accurate notification and recording of production trials, covering material usage through to labour resources.
- Check daily production against warehouse delivery performance before production is notified.
- Complete daily and monthly checks of actual labour versus headcount, direct labour notifications and production balances.
- Monitor Time & Attendance (T&A) and identify daily production anomalies.
- Create and maintain shift reports and daily manning information, ensuring agency names and staffing information are accurate and aligned with TSS records.
- Provide administrative and operational support to Production Management and Team Leaders.
- Manage Kanban requirements for the office, Team Leaders and Technical Operators.
- Log and scan relevant Glass and Plastics documentation.
- Participate in operational meetings and work teams, providing accurate data and information to help improve KPI performance.
- Support the implementation of new ideas, processes and procedures.
- Provide information and support for internal and external audits.
- Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying issues, investigating root causes and helping implement sustainable solutions.
We are looking for someone who combines strong administrative and analytical skills with a genuine interest in manufacturing, systems and continuous improvement.
Essential skills and experience
- Competent user of Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Previous experience in an administrative or manufacturing support environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good numerical and analytical ability, with an understanding of operational KPIs and performance data.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable, with practical experience helping to develop your 'know-how'.
- Train the Trainer certification is desirable.
At Cerealto, we believe that how you work is just as important as what you know.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Can-do and proactive — you see a problem as something to solve.
- Resilient — you will persevere when things don't go to plan.
- Analytical and curious — you want to understand the why behind a deviation or failure and identify the root cause.
- Results-focused — you understand targets, KPIs and the importance of delivering against them.
- Collaborative and respectful — you value teamwork and understand the importance of working effectively with colleagues at every level.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
This is an excellent opportunity to become a key part of a manufacturing operation where data can make a real difference.
If you're someone who enjoys working with people, data and systems, takes pride in getting things right and has the determination to find solutions, we'd love to hear from you.
