We are seeking an honest, humble and motivated Store Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of our store. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily store activities, direct staff, and deliver exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about retail management and team development, eager to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced setting.

Gabi's Premier is a busy convenience store in Cumbernauld, recently refitted, with a full food-to-go kitchen (pizza, ciabattas, waffles, coffee and more) and a Post Office counter. We're a close-knit team and looking for a Store Supervisor to help run daily operations — someone who can take real responsibility for a shift and make sure customers are served, shelves are full and shop is tidy, not just staff a till.
What you'll be doing:
- Opening or closing the store independently
- Preventing safety hazards, financial loss, and maintaining a orderly store during chaotic and busy periods.
- Running the shop floor, handling customer issues and complaints
- Overseeing food-to-go standards and providing kitchen support
- Directing other staff during your shift
- Cash handling and till accuracy
- Full training provided on Post Office duties
- Full training provided within Kitchen
What we need from you:
- Previous supervisory experience in retail or hospitality, not compulsory. If you dont have previous experience the all you need is the skill of learning and retaining information.
- Comfortable working independently and maintaining standards whilst in absence of the colleague manager in an honest manner.
- Confident, clear spoken English for dealing with customers and staff
- Flexible availability across weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Reliable — this is a role built on trust, not just skill
- Willing to do all parts of the job, including cleaning and food prep
What you'll get:
- Genuine progression — a clear path to more responsibility as the business grows
- £13.00–£14.00/hour depending on experience, reviewed after probation
- Full training across all areas of the store
This is not a passive till job. We need someone who notices what needs doing without being told and takes ownership of their shift.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Discounted or free food
- Free parking
- Health & wellbeing programme
- On-site parking
- Referral programme
- Store discount
