Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with skill and consistency, ensuring each piece meets our high standards for presentation and taste
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Source fresh ingredients daily, ensuring quality and freshness in every roll and sashimi slice
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs for restocking or ordering supplies
- Assist in developing new sushi recipes and menu items to excite our guests and keep offerings innovative
- Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment for staff and guests
Skills
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced culinary setting
- Expert knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
