We have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Desk Administrative Assistant to begin their story with us based in our Head Office in Bexhill. We are looking for someone who embodies our values of being hardworking, grounded and proud of the work they do.
As Hire Desk Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting our operational teams by monitoring the hire desk inbox, assisting with the co-ordination the hire of plant and equipment and resolving queries from customers and suppliers. You will act as a central point of contact, helping to find solutions quickly, manage expectations and ensure plant requirements are met efficiently.
You will liaise with a variety of suppliers and employees, ensuring orders are processed in line with company systems and processes. This involves amending technical data to produce final contractual documents. You will also investigate and resolve plant, delivery and collection, maintaining accurate records and providing a high standard of customer service across the business.
This is a fast-paced role that would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, building strong relationships and delivering excellent service while managing multiple priorities.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize all contract lift documentation, including agreements, schedules, and compliance records
- Coordinate communication between contractors, vendors, and internal teams via phone, email, and other channels
- Enter data accurately into relevant systems such as Microsoft Office
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and project timelines to ensure timely execution of lift operations
- Maintain organized filing systems for all project-related paperwork and correspondence

- ·Good knowledge of large and small plant is desirable but not essential
