Responsibilities
As a Senior Account Assistant, you will maintain the accounting books of the Hotel, assist in closing month end, prepare the monthly Financial Statement and Payroll/Purchasing duties as required. Additionally, to carry out the daily, weekly and monthly functions in order to ensure the correct accounting for all Accounts Payable/Receivable and Income Audit relating tasks.
· Manage balance sheet accounts through monthly reconciliations and corrective actions.
· Prepare month-end financial statements, accruals, and journal entries in line with GAAP and company policies.
· Assist with monthly financial reporting and distribution to department heads.
· Support budgeting, forecasting, and corporate reporting requirements.
· Perform financial controls, including FFE and asset stock counts.
· Provide cross-functional support across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Income Audit functions.
· Support credit control, account collections, reconciliations, AR postings, intercompany charges, and chargeback management.
· Assist with payroll and pension processing, employee data validation, incentives, and payroll reporting.
· Maintain supplier records, review purchase orders, monitor outstanding orders, and support procurement activities.
· Oversee invoice processing, supplier payments, intercompany transactions, and statutory payment compliance.
· Manage travel agent commission reconciliations, rate codes, and payment processing.
· Conduct revenue audits, investigate variances, reconcile accounts, verify documentation, and support inventory controls.
· Support financial controls, compliance, reporting, profitability initiatives, and operational finance cover.
· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
· Reconcile VAT returns and submit reports to the owner's office.
· Manage company credit card processes and ensure timely submission of supporting documentation.
· Monitor departmental budgets, controlling costs and expenditure.

• Experience in the hotel, leisure or retail sector
• At least 1 years’ experience in a similar position in hotel
• Relevant degree, in Finance, Accounting or related business discipline, from an academic institution
• Full understanding of financial operating systems and procedures
• Strong influencing, inter-personal and communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills - Knowledge of financial operating systems and procedures
• Previous experience with the PeopleSoft system
• Previous experience in the Account/Finance Management
