JB Tool Hire is a growing plant hire company, supplying a wide range of plant and equipment on a nationwide basis. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to strengthen our service team and recruit an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic.
The Role
As a Mobile Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing our hire fleet on customer sites and at depots as required. Our fleet includes:
- Trailers
- Generators
- Forklift trucks
- Vibrating plates & breakers
- Compressors
- Road rollers
- Dumpers
- Excavators
- Telehandlers
This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring travel to breakdowns and service calls.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic / Mobile Plant Fitter
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Reliable, flexible, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Own tools required (company van provided)

Hours of Work
- Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Saturday: 7:30am – 12:00pm
