Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of roofing systems and cladding to identify signs of wear, damage, or potential failure
- Perform repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to restore or enhance roofing and cladding components
- Utilize schematics and technical drawings to guide installation, repair, or modification tasks accurately
- Execute heavy lifting tasks safely while handling materials such as metal panels, insulation, or structural components
- Apply carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or other construction skills as needed for comprehensive maintenance solutions
- Operate construction machinery and power tools efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to plan maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of projects
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, roofing, or building maintenance roles with a focus on commercial structures
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings for installation or repair procedures
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of roofing materials, cladding systems, and related construction practices
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality work
- Valid experience with safety standards related to construction sites and roofing environments
