Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults using schematics and technical manuals
- Repair or replace faulty components, including belts, bearings, gears, and hydraulic systems
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out repairs and assembly tasks
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs and modifications
- Perform equipment assembly, installation, and calibration as required
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
- Assist with troubleshooting complex mechanical issues to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and components
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques
- Ability to perform assembly, disassembly, and maintenance tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of equipment repair procedures and preventative maintenance practices
- Capable of heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy components
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards troubleshooting issues
- Good organisational skills for maintaining accurate records of work performed
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members
