Daily Cleaner – The Italian Bakehouse, Broadstone
We are looking for experienced cleaners to join us at our brand new The Italian Bakehouse in Broadstone. We are part of The Italian Group of bakeries & a restaurant known for fresh, quality ingredients, award‑winning artisan sourdough, our nationally acclaimed Dorset Apple Cake, and our popular evening pizza service. As we expanded, we’re now looking for a reliable, detail‑focused Cleaner & Key Holder with proven experience to help keep our new site spotless and secure.
About the Role
You’ll play a vital part in maintaining the high standards our customers expect, ensuring front of house areas of the bakehouse, including the toilets are consistently clean, hygienic and well presented. As a key holder, you’ll also be trusted with opening or closing the site and ensuring the premises remain safe and secure.
Hours. We anticipate the daily clean will take 1.5 to 2 hours and will have to be carried out either prior to opening or after closing. We open at 7.30am daily and we close at 5pm on Sunday & Monday and at 9.30pm Tuesday to Saturday. This can be a shared part time role for the right people.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out daily cleaning to an exceptional standard
- Maintain high standards of hygiene
- Clean equipment, surfaces, floors and storage areas following strict procedures
- Manage waste disposal and recycling correctly
- Refill cleaning supplies and report low stock
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety guidelines
- Work independently, efficiently and with pride in your standards
Key Holder Responsibilities
- Safely open or close the premises as scheduled
- Ensure all doors, windows and access points are secure
- Set and unset alarms correctly
- Report any security concerns or maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain responsibility for the building when working alone
- Uphold confidentiality and trust as a representative of the business
What We’re Looking For
- Previous professional cleaning experience is essential
- Experience in hospitality preferred
- Strong attention to detail and high personal standards
- Reliability, punctuality and a proactive approach
- Someone who works well independently and takes ownership of their role
- Understanding of safe cleaning practices
- Confidence in opening/closing procedures and working alone
- Flexibility with early mornings or later shifts as required
