Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
- Support children with their individual needs and encourage independence and confidence
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Assist with the organisation of daily routines and record keeping related to children's progress
- Contribute to the development of personalised care plans and educational programmes
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices
- Ability to organise activities that support developmental milestones
- Compassionate nature with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
