Role: Domestic Assistant (7am - 2pm shift pattern)
Hours - Full-time / Part-time
Salary: £11.50 per hour
As a Domestic Assistant at Willowcroft Care Home, you must have a sympathetic understanding of the needs of elderly people and their families. At this time more than ever, our domestic assistants play a vital role in our infection prevention and control. You will need to be reliable and physically fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working as part of the team responsible for the thorough cleaning of the home, including the following:
- the cleaning of all communal and private bathrooms and toilets.
- the cleaning of bedrooms, including vacuuming, wiping down of surfaces, watering plants, removal of papers and magazines (as required), etc.
- deep cleaning routines that will include taking down and rehanging of curtains, shampooing of carpets, removal of odours, etc.
- refilling paper towels, toilet rolls, and soap dispensers.
- cleaning of resident and staff kitchens, offices, corridors, and staircases.
- completion of cleaning records as required.
- We need someone who is flexible in their approach.
- Able to work in laundry.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
