Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Afterschool Club Worker to provide engaging and supportive care for children in our community. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising children after school hours, organising activities, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare, teaching, or working with young people. The position is paid and suitable for those with experience or interest in childcare, nannying, teaching, or working with children in bilingual settings.
Duties
- Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Organise and facilitate a variety of age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, and educational exercises
- Support children's social development by encouraging positive interactions and behaviour
- Assist with homework help and educational support where needed
- Maintain a clean and organised activity area
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or behavioural concerns
- Drive children to organised outings or activities when required (driving skills preferred)
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations within the club environment
Skills
- Experience in childcare, nannying, or teaching is highly desirable
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus for bilingual programmes
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to supervise children responsibly and respond calmly in emergency situations
- Driving skills are advantageous for transporting children or running errands related to the club
- Passionate about working with young people and fostering their development

The hours are Monday - Friday 2.50-6pm
Saturdays 9-1.30pm
school Holidays 7.50-5.50pm
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
