Residential Support Worker
We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Residential Support Worker to help provide a safe, nurturing and structured home for children and young people.
You will build positive relationships, support daily routines and activities, and help each young person achieve the goals set out in their care and placement plans. You will also promote education, confidence and emotional wellbeing while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing child-centred practical and emotional support
- Supporting routines, appointments, education, personal hygiene and activities
- Acting as a key worker, corporate parent and advocating for young people
- Maintaining accurate care records and reports
- Working with families, colleagues and other professionals
- Following safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety procedures
- Transporting young people when required
Previous experience with children or young people is desirable. You will need strong communication and record-keeping skills, a calm and respectful approach.
