Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Qualified Sports Coaches at Level 1, 2, or 3 (IG10 1TS) to inspire and develop young people and young adults with various learning disabilities to participate and increase confidence through engaging sports coaching sessions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to community sports programs, promote healthy lifestyles, and foster teamwork and confidence among those that may not otherwise have the opportunity. The ideal candidate will bring energy, a passion for sports, and a commitment to teaching and mentoring others in a supportive environment.
Duties
- Deliver high-quality sports coaching sessions tailored to the needs of participants across various age groups.
- Plan and organize training activities that promote skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment of sport
- Monitor participant progress, provide constructive feedback, and encourage positive sporting behavior
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are used safely and maintained properly
- Support the implementation of inclusive practices to ensure accessibility for all participants
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and session outcomes
- Foster a motivating environment that inspires participants to achieve their personal best
Skills
- Proven sports coaching experience with the ability to adapt coaching styles to different audiences
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate clearly and motivate others
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to sports activities
- Ability to plan engaging sessions that balance skill development with fun and participation
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with participants, colleagues, and community partners
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- A positive attitude with a passion for promoting active lifestyles and lifelong participation in sport
Pay: £15.00-£35.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
