Civil Litigation Solicitor | Maidstone | c£70k pa + Excellent benefits pacakage
Due to company expansion in the Kent region, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Litigation Solicitor to join a busy and growing litigation team.
You will manage your own varied caseload from instruction through to conclusion, working on a broad range of civil disputes while delivering outstanding client service.
The Role:
- Manage a varied caseload of Civil Litigation matters.
- Handle contractual disputes, property disputes, debt recovery, professional negligence, contentious probate and general civil disputes.
- Draft pleadings, witness statements and court applications.
- Conduct negotiations, ADR and represent clients where required.
- Advise clients on litigation strategy, costs and risk.
- Work closely with Counsel, experts and third parties while ensuring compliance with court deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation matters, including contractual disputes, property claims, and personal injury cases
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, statements of claim, defenses, and settlement agreements with precision
- Conduct negotiations with opposing counsel to seek favorable resolutions while maintaining professionalism and strategic focus
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions to advocate effectively on their behalf
- Provide clear legal advice to clients regarding case strategies, potential outcomes, and procedural requirements
- Coordinate with experts, witnesses, and other stakeholders to gather evidence and strengthen cases
- Keep meticulous records of case progress, deadlines, and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal standards
Job Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with current registration to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in civil litigation with a strong understanding of procedural rules and courtroom procedures
- Excellent negotiation skills demonstrated through successful case settlements or dispute resolutions
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex legal issues and develop effective strategies
- Exceptional communication skills for clear client advisement and effective advocacy
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines
- A proactive attitude with enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development
- Proactive, commercially aware and able to work both independently and as part of a team
On offer:
- Starting salary of between £55,000 to £70,000 per annum (Neotiable) + excellent benefits package
- Hours of work 9a.m. to 5:30p.m. Monday to Friday
- Salary and benefits are reviewed on a regular basis
