Cuckfield Dental Practice is a well established independent practice who are looking for an enthusiastic and well motivated Trainee Dental Nurse to work in a well supported environment to enable you to gain all your dental nursing skills and qualifications, this role will give you endless job satisfaction and a great career path for the future.
Hours of work: A combination of session’s equivalent to 4½ full time days are available. One week 4 days the next week 4 days + Saturday morning session.
If you are a Trainee you will complete a time period of chair-side experience prior to being supported through an Apprenticeship scheme to gain a Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing.

Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists and dental hygienists during patient treatments
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising dental instruments
- Providing support to patients before, during, and after procedures
- Ensuring patient comfort and addressing their concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating files as required
- Supporting administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and reception duties
- Upholding strict health and safety standards within the practice
- Learning and adhering to infection control protocols and confidentiality policies
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of patient care principles and a genuine interest in healthcare
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- IT literacy for managing electronic health records and appointment systems
- Prior experience in nursing or healthcare is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to work well within a team environment and demonstrate a professional attitude
