Welder / Fabricator – Full Time- Longhope
At Excalibre, we are specialists in exhaust and emission systems. Our operations include DPF cleaning and the fabrication of exhaust systems for heavy-duty applications. We are currently seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our team.
While experience in TIG/MIG welding and the automotive sector is desirable, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out SCR / DPF / DOC refurbishments alongside the Workshop Manager, ensuring ISO standards are maintained
- Fabricate exhaust systems for a wide range of vehicle applications
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings to produce accurate finished work
- Operate workshop equipment including overhead cranes, grinders, plasma cutting tools, and hand tools
- Follow all health and safety procedures and use PPE appropriately
Skills & Experience
- TIG/MIG welding experience (preferably with stainless steel)
- Fabrication experience with medium to light materials
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment
- Previous stainless steel fabrication experience (advantageous)
- Forklift/reach truck experience (advantageous)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office or similar)
- Full UK driving licence (advantageous)
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday (potential for future evening shift)
- 40 hours per week + overtime as required
