Part-Time Specialty Coffee Barista
Location: Glasgow Southside
Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time (approximately 20 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours)
Pay: Competitive, depending on experience
Join One of Glasgow’s Independent Specialty Coffee Shops
We’re looking for a passionate, friendly and reliable Barista to join our team at our specialty coffee shop in Glasgow’s Southside.
This is more than making great flat whites. We take pride in serving exceptional coffee, from espresso through to hand-brewed filter coffee using a range of pour-over methods. If you love coffee, enjoy chatting with customers and want to work somewhere that values quality over speed, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll also be trusted with opening and closing the café, and confidently running the shop independently during quieter one-person shifts.
The Role
● Preparing consistently high-quality espresso-based drinks.
● Brewing and serving specialty filter coffee using pour-over methods such as V60, Kalita Wave and AeroPress.
● Providing warm, genuine customer service.
● Opening and closing the café.
● Confidently managing solo shifts while maintaining excellent service.
● Preparing food and serving cakes and pastries.
● Maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
● Replenishing stock and keeping the café well organised.
● Working closely with the management team to maintain our high standards.
What We’re Looking For
● Previous barista experience is essential.
● An interest in specialty coffee and manual brewing methods (experience is preferred but training can be provided for the right person).
● Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for the café during solo shifts.
● Friendly, approachable and confident with customers.
● Reliable, organised and calm under pressure.
● Flexible to work weekdays and weekends.
What We Offer
● A welcoming, supportive team.
● Ongoing specialty coffee training and development.
● The opportunity to develop your brewing and coffee knowledge.
● Staff discounts.
● Opportunities to grow with an expanding independent coffee company, including our exciting coffee roasting project.
We’d Love to Hear From You If…
You genuinely care about coffee, enjoy making people’s day, and want to be part of an independent business that’s passionate about quality, community and continual improvement.
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
