Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 360 Excavator Operator to join our team in SE17. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a 360-degree excavator to assist with construction and excavation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, experience with commercial driving, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on-site. The successful applicant will contribute to the successful completion of projects by ensuring precise operation of heavy machinery while adhering to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Operate a 360-degree excavator to perform digging, lifting, and material handling tasks in accordance with project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing and levelling ground as required.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of appropriate PPE and safe operating procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and site managers to coordinate tasks effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any machinery issues promptly.
- Support other construction activities as directed by supervisors, including manoeuvring materials using commercial driving skills when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating a 360 excavator in a construction environment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
