Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive data architecture frameworks, including data models, database schemas, and data warehouses.
- Develop and maintain scalable big data solutions utilizing Hadoop, Spark, and other distributed processing technologies to handle large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Architect cloud-based data solutions on platforms such as AWS and Azure, ensuring security, compliance, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective database designs using SQL, NoSQL (such as MongoDB or Cassandra), and other database technologies.
- Implement best practices for data integration using tools like Informatica and develop ETL pipelines to facilitate efficient data movement and transformation.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and resource management in environments like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Python-based systems.
- Establish standards for data modeling, database design, and documentation to ensure consistency across projects while adhering to industry best practices.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL programming along with experience in NoSQL databases such as NoSQL systems or document stores.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure for deploying scalable data solutions.
- Expertise in big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and related ecosystems for processing large datasets efficiently.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, Bash (Unix shell scripting), enabling automation and custom solution development.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles, database design techniques, and data warehouse architecture.
- Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica for seamless data integration workflows.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server in complex environments.
