Fabricator — Permanent Role
Location: Halfway House, Shrewsbury, SY5 9DA
Hours: 40 hours per week, with an early finish on Fridays
We are recruiting a skilled Fabricator to join our team on a permanent basis. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with fabrication and welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings in a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Read and interpret assembly and technical drawings.
· Prepare, fabricate, assemble, and weld components to specification.
· Use workshop tools, machinery, cutting equipment, and high amp welding processes safely.
· Carry out quality checks and complete quality check sheets for UKCA audits.
· Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organised work area.
· Work with the wider team to meet production deadlines.
Skills and Experience
· MIG fabrication experience.
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
· Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
· Good knowledge of workplace safety standards and safe working practices.
· Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks.
· Full UK driving licence essential.
· Abrasive wheels, forklift truck, or overhead crane certification preferred.
