We are seeking an experienced Sausage Maker to join our Family run Butchers
Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce sausages and other meat products according to established recipes and specifications.
- Handle butchery tasks, including meat trimming, grinding, and portioning with precision and care.
- Ensure all food preparation adheres strictly to food safety standards and hygiene regulation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising tools and surfaces regularly.
- Monitor quality control throughout the production process, inspecting finished products for consistency and excellence.
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to minimise risks within the workspace.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, particularly in sausage making or related meat processing roles.
- Culinary experience with a focus on butchery, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations relevant to meat processing environments.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure product consistency and safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings or weekends if necessary.
