hours are : 7.30am-3.00pm and 3.00pm-9.00pm

Summary
We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our caring team at Fernleigh Care Home in the GB. This vital role involves supporting our residents with their daily needs and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Your contribution will help us uphold our commitment to quality elderly care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care and daily activities in a respectful manner.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the care home.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure high standards of care.
- Support residents with mobility and transportation as needed.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to promote resident well-being.
- Document observations and any changes in residents’ conditions accurately.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to enhance care quality.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience or interest in elderly or dementia care.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to work as part of a team with compassion and professionalism.
- Driving license is advantageous but not essential.
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to support elderly individuals.
- Flexibility to adapt to residents’ needs and work collaboratively.
- Previous experience in a care home setting is preferred but not mandatory.
