Newnham College is seeking to recruit a part-time Finance Administrator to join a busy finance team dealing with the College’s accounts. Working as part of a close-knit team of professionals, this role deals with the administration of student accounts, conference income and posting and reconciliation of bank entries to the ledger. Reporting to the College’s Head of Finance, who is head of the department, this role requires attention to detail, good aptitude in the use of excel, excellent knowledge of financial packages such as SUN or similar, and calls for a proactive individual with experience of working in a busy accounts office.
This is a permanent part-time post working 30 hours a week across a minimum of four days a week. The salary is based on point 36 on the University’s single salary spine, the full time equivalent (FTE) for which is currently £33,662 per annum. 30 hours per week represents an 0.8 FTE contract and therefore the salary, pro rata, is £26,930. The College offers membership of the generous USS pension scheme, with a current employer contribution rate of 14.5% and holiday entitlement is 33 days per year (inclusive of bank holidays) – pro rata for part-time, and there is a day of paid leave for your birthday.
