Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play an important part in supporting the wider business through effective administration, system maintenance and coordination across multiple departments. You will be responsible for processing key documentation, maintaining records, supporting health and safety and audit activity, and helping teams operate efficiently. The role would suit someone with previous administration experience, ideally gained in a manufacturing, engineering or production setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and can confidently manage a wide range of administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Assist with Health & Safety and IT administration, including issue reporting, statutory records, testing, servicing, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain business systems and records, including ERP data, stock pricing, delivery dates, and operational documentation.
- Support production and engineering administration, including engineering change notes.
- Assist with audits and compliance tasks, keeping accurate notes, records, and follow-up actions.
- Check and update materials and stock information, including bills of materials and consignment stock levels.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets to monitor job progress and tracking updates, operational performance, and communication with stakeholders.
- Coordinate general administrative support across sales, production, engineering, purchasing, and operations.
- Maintain effective communication channels within the organisation through professional phone etiquette and clear written communication.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience in office or administrative environments is highly desirable.
- Experience of working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook and experience using an ERP system or similar business/accounting systems would be beneficial.
- Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Mathematics, are desirable, and a business administration qualification or relevant vocational training would be advantageous.

- Problem-solving ability and confidence in identifying and escalating issues appropriately.
Hours of Work: 38 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
