Starting salary of £33,806 per annum, with opportunities to progress to £37,494 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company vehicle and enhanced earning opportunities through call-out duties.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative, with a main trade of Carpentry to join our Responsive and Empty Homes Team in Norwich.
This role will work to help deliver an effective and efficient repairs service to our residents, dealing with Responsive repairs in our occupied properties as well as working on our empty homes to ensure they are fit for relet. You will ensure that repairs are carried out in a timely manner and to ensure a high standard of work to our properties.
This plays a key role in being responsible in providing an excellent service to our residents, so if you want to help make a difference to our residents, this may be the job for you!
The main focus of the roles will be:
Successfully complete allocated repairs and maintenance works, primarily in carpentry, while utilising additional skills across plumbing, painting and decorating, tiling, plastering, external works, and groundworks to deliver a high-quality service.
Assist in delivering an efficient repairs and maintenance service where tasks are carried out to a high standard, first time fix while minimising callbacks and ensuring resident satisfaction.
Manage own workload to ensure work is undertaken in a timely manner, consistent with performance indicators.

About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
4 GCSEs or equivalent Grade C / Grade 4 or above (including Maths and English)
Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ level two in Carpentry or appropriate trade experience within at least 2 different trades.
Skilled in other trades such as tiling, plumbing, plastering, painting and decorating etc.
Valid Driving Licence.
Experience of working in Property Maintenance.
Good IT, literacy and communication skills.
A positive can-do attitude and the ability to work independently and problem solve.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will join our on-call rota.
