Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Confidently manage food preparation and service for large groups and coach parties, ensuring meals are produced efficiently, consistently and on time.
- Assist in the development of new menu items and contribute creative ideas to enhance our culinary offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your designated section, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Support the team during busy service periods, ensuring timely meal preparation and efficient serving.
- Monitor stock levels within your section, assist with inventory management, and communicate supply needs to the head chef.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and uphold high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards.
- Previous experience working as part of a kitchen team with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with serving procedures and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills and contributing positively to a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
