- have at least six months’ dispensary experience;

- be able to commute reliably to Carrickfergus for an 8:45am start, Monday to Friday.

FULL-TIME PHARMACY DISPENSER / ACCURACY CHECKING TECHNICIAN
The Health Centre Pharmacy is a trusted, locally owned independent pharmacy serving the Carrickfergus community. We are looking for a qualified Pharmacy Dispenser or Accuracy Checking Technician to join our friendly, experienced team.
HOURS AND CONTRACT
- Permanent, full-time position
- Approximately 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 8:45am–5:30pm
- No weekends or late nights
- In person at The Health Centre Pharmacy, Carrickfergus

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely and accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions
- Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the dispensary
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy colleagues
- Provide friendly, professional service to patients
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and patient care
- Assist with NHS dispensing, repeat prescriptions and multi-medication management
- Contribute to community health initiatives and pharmacy services
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services/dispensing or an equivalent recognised qualification
- At least six months’ experience working in a pharmacy dispensary
- Existing right to work in the UK
- Ability to work on site in Carrickfergus during the stated hours
- Excellent attention to detail
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Commitment to outstanding patient care
DESIRABLE
- An accredited accuracy checking qualification
- Experience using MPS dispensary software
An accuracy checking qualification is desirable but not essential. We will support a suitable qualified dispenser or technician in completing the accredited course.
You will work alongside four pharmacists, an experienced dispensary technician, and friendly dispensary and counter colleagues. Our technology streamlines routine work, helping the team focus on excellent patient care.
