Job Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of all new products through active management of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee cross functional teams; manage project timelines, project budget responsibility, ensure delivery meets quality and customer expectations.

Collaborate with applications, engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain ensuring project milestones and ownership are understood.

Support and Understand Capacity, Capability & Quality requirements for NPI.

Proactive resolution of project delays by working with multiple departments to ensure minimal impact to the project timeline.

Continually exploring opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the process.

Establish a culture of transparency and continuous improvement within NPI process.

Working with the business to plan future requirements based on forecasted demand and analysis.
Knowledge Skills and Experiences:
Knowledge
-
Proven track record in successfully transferring a new concept into full scale production is essential.
-
Previously working in an Aerospace, Defence or Automotive business would be advantageous
-
Strong understanding of project management techniques and tools would be desired. APQP, Gantt Charts, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Priority Matrix.

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies Lean, Six Sigma, 5 Why, 8D VSM would be desirable.

Knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing best practice would be advantageous.

Previous people management responsibility would be desirable.
Skills
-
Ability to lead a project from initiation through to delivery by engaging with cross-functional teams.

Good communicator with both written and verbal skills. Confident and capable of leading and presenting in project meetings.

Able to develop strong effective leadership and relationships with people.

Ability to use CAD software, preferably SolidWorks would be beneficial.
-
Strong problem-solving abilities and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, preferably with a focus on mechanical or manufacturing engineering.

Proven experience or a project management-based qualification would also be considered.
