Neighbours to Friends CIC is looking for friendly local volunteers in Helensburgh to support our free social game nights for adults aged 18+.
Our project helps adults meet new people, feel welcome, talk more easily and build real local connections through regular in-person social events.
This is an unpaid volunteer role. It is not paid employment. Reasonable pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses may be reimbursed where possible.
About the opportunity
You would help support friendly social game nights in Helensburgh.
The aim is simple: to create a warm local space where adults can come along, meet others, talk, laugh and feel part of something.
You do not need previous experience. We will explain everything and support you step by step.
Volunteer activities may include:
- welcoming new attendees
- helping people feel comfortable if they arrive alone
- helping with simple event setup
- supporting the host during the evening
- helping with posters, flyers or local promotion
- sharing the project locally
- helping with social media or Facebook posts
- supporting online communication
- learning to host in the future if interested
You do not have to do everything. Some volunteers may prefer helping at events. Some may prefer promotion or social media. Some may only have a small amount of time. That is completely fine.

Support and training
We will show you what to do.
Support may include an introductory conversation, explanation of the project, basic event guidance, help with local promotion, and ongoing support from Neighbours to Friends CIC.
Before anyone starts, we will have a short conversation to make sure the role is suitable and safe for everyone.
