About the Role
We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic Butcher Shop Counter Assistants to join our team at Murdoch Allan & Son. This customer-facing role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, delivers excellent customer service and is happy working in a busy food retail environment.
What You’ll Do
- ·Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
- Prepare, wrap, and label customer orders to a high standard
- Replenish stock and maintain attractive counter displays
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Keep the shop and counters clean, tidy, and well presented
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures
- Support the butchery team with the day-to-day running of the shop
Experience and Skills
- Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
- Friendly, approachable, and confident communicating with customers
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for quality food and delivering excellent customer service
