Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
- Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of dishes
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, maintaining high standards of presentation and flavour
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
- Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu innovations to enhance customer experience
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
- Strong background in food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of culinary techniques across diverse cuisines is desirable
- Experience in serving customers directly or supporting front-of-house operations is advantageous
